THE REHEARSAL CLUB (“TRC”) is a small, mostly volunteer, 501(c)3 organization with a legacy of supporting women aspiring to performing arts careers offering subsidized housing, workshops, programs, mentoring, in a like-minded community.
Job title: Executive Director Reports To: The President and Board of Directors Schedule: Half time, schedule may vary depending on TRC activities and events
Location: Remote/Virtual with activities and meetings in NYC Description: Overall responsibility for the implementation of TRC’s mission, as defined by the Board of Directors and President, through fundraising, fiscal, programmatic, and operational activities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Board of Directors to develop strategic plans that move the organization forward while preserving and promoting its legacy. Develop and conduct short-and long-term fundraising initiatives with oversight of fundraising activities (50% of time): strengthen donor relationships; initiate and manage individual, foundation, and corporate solicitations and fundraising events. Secure and expand TRC’s Residency Program. Create new programs to benefit residents, alumnae, and members. Advise and support board committees. Act as a spokesperson for the organization and NYC presence. Work with Finance Committee to conduct operations within budget limitations. Supervise staff and volunteer network. Strengthen all aspects of communication, including social media and website. Build relationships and collaboration with allied organizations and advisory board. Deliver timely and accurate reports to the President and Board of Directors. REQUIREMENTS: Commitment to The Rehearsal Club mission. Passion for and involvement in the performing arts industry, especially in New York City. At least 5 years’ experience in fundraising in the non-profit sector with proven success including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with boards, volunteers, committees, and allied organizations. At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role at a nonprofit organization. Record of creating and implementing strategic plans. Residence in, or easy access to, metropolitan New York Salary range $35,000 - $50,000 based on experience for 20 hours per week

While it was an intimate gathering it was very successful and inspirational for all attending including director Carol Dorn pictured here with Yolanda Lawrence.
